Clutter!
My soundscape: Clutter - inspired by Old Tape by Aaron Dugnan For my soundscape drew inspiration from musician, Aaron Dugnan. I first stumbled upon his music when listening to a random playlist, and I heard Old Tape for the first time. This song was my inspiration for making my soundscape! The recording features a cacophony of sound, there are multiple layers of people talking, some are sped up, reversed, or pitched, but none are discernable. In my soundscape I aimed to recreate this feeling. Though I feel both have different reactions. When I listened to "Old Tape" it made me giggle because it sounded all like gibberish, but now I kind of like to play it between songs so my mind can rest if that makes sense. Even though it's a bit chaotic, it has a liminal "vibe" that I really enjoy. My soundscape is pretty unpleasant, I wanted to have it sound like the overstimulating situation of studying with lots of people in the room and not being able to think clear...
